4. Hope Warming Center.  We will be serving dinner this Thursday.  A collection was taken up to purchase the main course, and over $90.00 was raised.  Steve Volk will purchase and heat up the main course.  Thanks to all!  If anyone wants to come on Thursday, we could always use an extra volunteer to serve.    Our next date is October 7.  We have October 7th commitments for everything except the main course.  Contact Bill Roy if you are interested.

5. Maple Road Cleanup is September 26, 2015 form 11 a.m.-12 noon.  We only have 6 volunteers so far.  Please contact Pat Grady if you are interested.

Happy Birthday to Ken Gass (9/16) and Bob Kenning (9/20).

50/50 Raffle & Card Draw. Mark Anderson won the daily draw.  Nobody drew the Ace of Spades, so the pot lives.
Sheriff: Mark Anderson did not fine Lions fans, as they are still smarting from yesterday.  Wolverine and Spartan fans are subject to levy.  Many contributions in honor of Bob’s 92nd birthday.

20 Minute Update and Speaker was Chuck Gosh.  Chuck made a presentation on “Google Cardboard”.  This is an inexpensive cardboard device (is also made in other materials) with plastic lenses.  A smartphone fits inside the device, and and then plays an app.  The device is placed  up to the eyes.  Device is said to be “virtual reality for everyone”.  3d images and sound transport the viewer to exotic places, allow for an enhanced gaming experience. Chuck had a device and passed it around to the members, who all had a chance to experience virtual reality.

Adjournment:
Jim Conley led us in “Smiles” and adjourned the meeting at 1:15 p.m.
