Hon. Kameshia D. Gant Circuit Court
- The Honorable Kameshia D. Gant studied Psychology at the University of Michigan before earning her Juris Doctor Degree from Wayne State University Law School. Prior to joining the family court bench, Judge Gant worked as a Probation Agent for the Michigan Department of Corrections, court clerk for Judge Alice Gilbert and Judge Michael Warren, and as an intern for former U.S. District Court Judge Gerald E. Rosen before opening her own practice in 2006. Judge Gant was appointed to the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court by Governor Gretchen Whitmer on April 30, 2019. As an active member of the community, Judge Gant volunteers her time supporting various causes dealing with children and education. Judge Gant is currently a member of the Oakland County Bar Association, Association of Black Judges of Michigan, D. Augustus Straker Bar Association, Wolverine Bar Association, Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, Black Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, and a fellow of the Oakland County Bar Foundation.
