Dan Leask was born in Canada and is a Professional Life & Career Coach. His company, Emerald Compass, assists clients in creating and enhancing their careers, to transform themselves and their lives. The main focus is Coaching and Training Business Professionals, who want to reinforce or strengthen their careers, at their current companies and those in transition due to downsizing. Clients include graduating students, who are deciding on their next steps, to best prepare for the professional business world. Additionally, Dan works with people in their Encore Careers, who want to “rewire” instead of “retire”, to make a difference in this world.
Dan’s career includes 26 years with General Motors in Engineering, Purchasing and Employee Development, in both the United States and Canada. He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University and an MBA, with focus on Strategic Management, from Davenport University. Dan experienced a career transition himself, when he started his own consulting and coaching business “Emerald Compass” and is therefore able to relate well to his clients, through his career experience. Dan is a certified Life & Career Coach, and has served on the board for ICF Michigan Coaches.
