Leadership Oakland

Nancy Maurer is the executive director of Leadership Oakland – a leadership development and networking organization serving Southeast Michigan.  Nancy is committed to fulfilling her purpose of being a catalyst and resource for individuals and communities to be as strong, healthy, vibrant and productive as possible.

Previously, she was a senior leadership development specialist for Beaumont Health and was instrumental in launching several new initiatives including the Leadership Academy, Mentoring Circles, Women’s Employee Resource Network, and Diverse Talent Pool Task Force.  Prior to returning to her home state of Michigan, Nancy was the Director of Organizational Development for The MetroHealth System in Cleveland and also held various positions in public relations, healthcare and non-profit communications, media relations and broadcast news.  

Nancy obtained an MBA from Ashland University and BA in Communications from Saginaw Valley State University.
