Winning Futures

Rob Otto has been with Winning Futures since 2012 and facilitates a number of our high school and summer programs. He is responsible for launching new programs at multiple schools, helping to develop and expand our Keys To College curriculum throughout metro-Detroit, and training other schools and organizations on the best way to utilize Winning Futures to help their students.

Prior to joining Winning Futures, Rob was a sports broadcaster in Detroit on WDFN-AM 1130, WCAR-AM 1090, WXYT-FM 97.1 and WWJ-AM 950. He also was a television color commentator for a college and high school sports on Fox Sports Detroit, Comcast SportsNet and the MHSAA Network.

Rob began his relationship with Winning Futures years before becoming an employee by volunteering through our relationship with the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame. He fell in love with the program and the impact it helped him make on the youth in our community. Rob perfected his ability to inform and entertain as a broadcaster and that has translated very well into presenting our program while keeping students and mentors engaged and motivated. Rob’s high energy, infectious laugh and friendly personality allow people to relax and easily embrace the Winning Futures principles.

Rob is a lifelong Michigander and a 1993 graduate of Central Michigan University, earning a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Broadcast & Cinematic Arts with a minor in Journalism.
