New Trends in Community Planning
Bob Gibbs and his wife Elizabeth are long-time Birmingham residents and have just celebrated their 44th anniversary. They have two sons and will become first-time grandparents in August.
He is a professional planner and landscape architect, specializing in city planning and new towns. Bob has developed plans globally, including Birmingham’s 1996 downtown plan and its recent city-wide plan. He is currently designing a proposed resort village on Lake Charlevoix and a new city for 1 million people in Florida. He holds degrees from Oakland University, the University of Michigan, and an honorary Doctorate from Oakland University. Bob was also recently named by his peers to be one of the most influential planners of the century
Bob is an avid fly fisher, vintage MG sports car driver, and a proud Rotarian. Today Bob will high discuss new trends in community planning.
