Welcome: Chris Winans presided over our meeting.  The Club recited the Pledge of Allegiance and the Four-Way Test.  
The Opening Song, America the Beautiful  was a group effort.

We did not have a raffle today because of the Masters Raffle Drawing.  Members of our club sold 265 tickets resulting in a profit for the Endowment Fund of $14,000.  Charles Wickins and Mark Anderson sold the greatest amount of tickets. Thank you all for your participation and all of those who worked on this endeavor.

Announcement & Upcoming Events:
Pontiac Schools Reading – Norma Jean Evans – reported that this Thursday is the normal reading assistance hour at Owen Elementary. All are welcome.
Hope Warming Center – Bill Roy – next date is March 29th. Wendee Haugh and Chris Winans are doing the main dish. Thank you for your generosity. Sign up is full.
Board of Directors meeting was moved to next Wednesday, March 23rd at the BAC at noon.
There will be a Fundraising meeting on Tuesday, March 22 from 6-7:30 pm for those people who are on the committee or interested in being on the Fundraising Committee. The location is to be determined and Chris Winans will send out an email about the location.
Third Thursday – moved to March 24th (the week after St. Patricks Day) at The Stand located at: 34977 Woodward Ave, Birmingham, MI  48009 from 5-7pm.
 
Birthdays:  Ryan Quinn and Sarah Rapport are celebrating their birthday’s on March 16th.  
 
Speaker:  Alyse Wesorick - March of Dimes Community Director  -  Alyse spoke about the transformation of the March of Dimes since its inception.  FDR created the March of Dimes 77 years ago in order to eradicate polio. He began by encouraging people to send in their dimes at which time he raised $100,000.  The mission of the March of Dimes now is to end premature births.  They are holding an event to raise money and awareness which will be a 3mile walk around the Oakland University campus and is kid friendly and will have a variety of family activities on May 1st at 9am. 
PETS Conference: Chris Winans reported about some of the information from the conference over the weekend. Rotary International said that there is a total combined 50 cases of polio in Pakistan and Afghanistan. RI wants to eradicate Polio completely this year.
 
There was no 2-minute update due to the Masters Raffle.
